At age 24, I married a unkara man who was fifty years older than me. Everyone around me thought I had married him solely for his money. I myself was convinced that, after his death, his entire fortune would become mine

But the biggest surprise came eleven months after his death.

The lawyer called me and asked me to come to his office immediately.

When I arrived, he was holding a sealed envelope.

“Your husband instructed me to give you this on the anniversary of his death,” he explained.

My hands trembled as I opened it.

Inside was a photograph of my husband standing beside a young man I had never seen before.

On the back, he had written:

“My son. The person I spent thirty years trying to find.”

I looked up in shock.

“His son? I thought he had no children!”

The lawyer nodded.

“Your husband lost contact with his son many years ago. Shortly before his death, he found him again. But he never had the chance to tell him the truth.”

I stared at the photograph, overwhelmed by questions.

Then the lawyer handed me one final document.
