Liver<\/span><br \/>\n<span dir=\"auto\">cacer<\/span><span dir=\"auto\">\u00a0is among the \u00a0cancers with the worst prognosis, according to the French League Against \u00a0Cancer. In 2023, 11,660 new cases were registered in France, and 76% of them affected men. It is worth noting that this disease occurs more frequently in a liver already weakened by alcoholic cirrhosis or viral hepatitis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"auto\">Health<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"auto\">Alcohol is the leading risk factor for liver cancer, accounting for 48% of new cases, according to the French National Cancer Institute (INCa). However, when it affects a healthy person, it is asymptomatic in most cases, which often leads to late diagnosis. If it is a so-called \u201csilent\u201d liver cancer, symptoms may appear and vary depending on the stage, according to the L\u00e9on B\u00e9rard \u00a0Cancer Center. These may include:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"auto\">Fatigue;<\/span><br \/>\n<span dir=\"auto\">abdominal pain localized to the right side of the abdomen;<\/span><br \/>\n<span dir=\"auto\">unexplained weight loss;<\/span><br \/>\n<span dir=\"auto\">jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes);<\/span><br \/>\n<span dir=\"auto\">abdominal swelling;<\/span><br \/>\n<span dir=\"auto\">loss of appetite;<\/span><br \/>\n<span dir=\"auto\">nausea;<\/span><br \/>\n<span dir=\"auto\">itching.
